Packed to the buffers with brand‑new ways to play, learn and explore! This year, Playtown is welcoming a very special new stop on its line… Mini-Hopetown! Step into a miniature and lovingly crafted mini version our our wonderful attraction featuring:

Mini Station Garden
A playful take on Hopetown’s green spaces, perfect for pottering, pretending and peaceful play.

Mini Station
A bustling role-play area filled with everything you need to join the Hopetown Darlington Welcome Team and help to run the site!

Mini Clocktower Cafe
A role play stop for snacks, tickets and treasures.

Railway Reading Room
Relax and enjoy sharing some stories.

Alongside these brand-new additions, these favourite Playtown zones are returning:

Foundry Green Games
Classic games galore including skittles, giant connect four, jenga, hoops, bean bags, targets and quoits.

Redevelopment Construction Site
Mini high-vis, hard hats, foam bricks, wheelbarrows, tractors and diggers - perfect for busy builders.

Free for all! Playtown is completely free of charge and specially designed for under‑10s - though passengers of all ages are welcome to hop aboard and enjoy the fun.

Please note: Parents and guardians must remain responsible for children throughout their visit.
