Hopetown Darlington celebrates the region's pioneering railway heritage while inspiring the innovators of the future.

Your donation will help us to maintain and preserve the internationally-significant railway heritage on our site and enable us to continue to inspire future generations by keeping entry free of charge.

Here are some examples of how your donations have helped:

• the opening up of the Class 37 Cab on Heritage Weekends is thanks to you
• events such as Playtown, Vintage Weekend / 1940s Day, and seasonal family activities are all free thanks to you
• you're helping with the ongoing operation and repairs to the replica Locomotion No.1
• you helped us to bring iconic locomotives such as Flying Scotsman and Sir Nigel Gresley to Darlington

When you're next here, you can donate at any till point or donation station via card or you can pop any spare change into one of our four money boxes.

The suggested donation is £3. But you can donate a little or as much as you can. A donation of any amount is really appreciated. Have any spare change from your holidays? A couple of Euros, Yen, Dollars, Krona, Zloty etc? We'll accept them, too.
