Who do you keep information about?

We keep information about customers of Hopetown who have signed up to receive updates about the attraction via the website, purchased a ticket, made a monetary donation or hired a space.

Why do you keep information about me?

We keep information because you have consented to receive updates or where you have purchased a ticket, made a donation or hired a space because it is necessary for the performance of a contract with you or to take steps to enter into a contract with you. Where you have provided details to enable us to make reasonable adjustments to meet your health needs, we do so because you have provided your explicit consent.

Who can see my information?

Access to information is limited to relevant Hopetown Darlington employees (limited office staff) and individuals who are contracted to process information on our behalf.

How do you store the information you keep about me?

Information is stored in the ticketing and EPOS system Visisoft and the marketing email system Sendgrid in accordance with local laws and legislation.

Is my information transferred to a third country or international organisation?

We do not transfer your information to any third country or international organisations.

How long do you keep information about me?

Information is kept for a period of seven years from the point of last purchase. This information is destroyed securely when we no longer need it or if you request to unsubscribe or remove your data.

What sort of information do you keep?

We will only use the minimum amount of information necessary to provide you with a service and will take every reasonable step to ensure the information is accurate.

• Address (if applicable)
• Contact details (email and contact number)
• Financial information (information relating to your financial transactions with us)

Can I ask for my data to be removed?

Yes. If you are receiving too many messages from us, you can unsubscribe from our marketing emails and updates by clicking 'Unsubscribe' at the bottom of the email. You can also manage your data in your online ticketing account on Visisoft if you created one when booking a visit with us.
